Welcome to the webpage of Dr. Sandip Ghosal! Dr. Ghosal obtained his PhD in Computational Electromagnetics domain from the Department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 2020. He completed his M.E. from the ETCE Department of IIEST Shibpur in 2014, with Silver Medal for being the First rank holder. Dr. Ghosal is a co-winner of Tech start-up competition IDEATHON 3-2020 for IILOREA organized by The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation (WEBEL), India. Two project proposals were selected under MathWorks Excellence in Innovation Program, 2021. Dr. Ghosal had been honored with International Scientist Awards 2020 on Engineering, Science and Management by VDGOOD Technology Factory. Dr. Ghosal is a recipient of ANRF-SERB International Travel Grant in 2024. He has worked as Senior Developer and Senior Team Lead (Development) for MathWorks Signal Processing and Communication Group from September, 2019 to May, 2023. His work on coupled eigen mode analysis got highlighted as one of most accessed paper in What’s Hot in Antenna and Propagation network of IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation in March 2022. His research work on characteristic mode based mutual coupling appeared as the most accessed paper in IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility July, 2020. His research includes broadly the following domain- Computational/Mathematical Modeling, Data Driven Modeling, Computational Electromagnetics, Physics Informed Machine Learning for Wireless and EM applications, Matrix Solver Development, etc. He is currently working as an Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports journal published by Nature.
